(from Hamann Press Release)  HAMANN gives the new Porsche Cayenne (958) more profile</p>
<p>The new Porsche Cayenne became significantly more compact when comparing it with its predecessor. With its refining programme, HAMANN-Motorsport follows the new design, but gives the SUV more profile at the same time. With new car body components, an extensive light alloy wheel programme and a powerfully sonorous exhaust system, the HAMANN Cayenne (958) becomes significantly more athletic at the same time. Moreover, HAMANN offers a performance enhancement for the Diesel model.</p>
<p>The Porsche Cayenne already looks very sportive in its original ex factory state. But still, the muscles of the car body can be even more enhanced. Therefore, HAMANN adds a front apron with additional air inlets and integrated daylight LEDs. The bonnet with power dome and lateral air exhausts is entirely made of ultra-light and high-strength carbon. The sides of the Cayenne are adorned with newly designed side skirts. HAMANN perfects also the back of the vehicle with an own invention. A three-part rear spoiler provides room for the earthy sounding sport exhaust system with four stainless steel end pipes.</p>
<p>In order to properly fill out the wheel houses, HAMANN offers a great selection of light-alloy wheels sized 23 inches. With the DESIGN EDITION RACE &#8220;ANODIZED&#8221;, the customer obtains a three-part wheel in cross spoke design with black rim star and high-gloss finished rim flange. The visible bolting is perfected with titanium bolts. The DESIGN UNIQUE FORGED &#8220;ANODIZED&#8221; is a one-piece black powder-coated light-alloy rim in cross spoke design. Alternatively, there is also the DESIGN UNIQUE FORGED &#8220;BRUSHED&#8221; in brushed aluminium design. All above mentioned wheels are made in forged technology and are available as complete wheel sets with 315/25 R23 tyres.</p>
<p>For the original Cayenne with ex factory air suspension, HAMANN offers a lowering range of approximately 35 mm in the front and the back.</p>
<p>Exclusively for the Porsche Cayenne Diesel, HAMANN offers a performance increase with optimised engine control. This increases the performance from 176 kW/240 hp to 202 kW/275 hp at 4,000 – 4,400 r.p.m. while the torque rises from 550 to 620 Newton metres at 2,000 – 2,250 r.p.m.</p>
<p>In order to emphasise the sound of the Porsche Cayenne V6- and V8-engines, HAMANN has developed a sport exhaust system which covers the whole product range from sport metal catalysers to end mufflers with four end pipes.</p>
<p>HAMANN enhances the interior with pedal covers made of aluminium, a foot rest and an exclusive floor mat set made of black pearl velour with the HAMANN logo in silver decorative stitching.</p>

<p>For more than 20 years, the company MANSORY is the first choice for refining exclusive top class automobiles and powerful super sports cars. The focus is both on optimisations which underline the dynamic character of the car as well as measures for refining the exclusive equipment. The subsidiary MANSORY Switzerland AG also follows this path with its newly designed individualisation programme for the current Porsche Cayenne.</p>
<p>Produced at the highest technical level, combined with masterly finishes and most precious materials – that is the quality targeted by MANSORY Switzerland for its Porsche Cayenne broad version. Harmonically designed aerodynamics components, ultra-light aluminium rims and powerful engine enhancements are the basis. High-quality accessories and stylish interior parts complete the choice. No matter if the customer wishes for a significant, extravagant or noble touch, MANSORY interiors render exclusiveness and sovereignty.</p>
<p>For its extensive body modifications, MANSORY relies on modern production processes and uses the material carbon which is both ultra-light and also highly stable and the highly resistant material polyurethane-RIM. Front- or rear apron, side skirts, bonnet or mudguards extending the vehicle by 60 mm in the front and 80 mm in the back, all parts are produced in light-weight design. The carbon bonnet for example is hardened under immense pressure and high temperatures in autoclave.</p>
<p>The MANSORY broad version combines an elaborate aerodynamics wrapped into a spectacular appearance: large air inlets at the newly designed front render perfect fresh air ventilation for the engine. Striking daytime running lights increase the passive security and enhance the dynamic look.</p>
<p>In addition to the breathtaking appearance, the MANSORY engine department developed a powerful performance increase for the 4.8 litre turbo engine. The power pack consists of amended engine electronics, larger turbo chargers and a stainless steel sports exhaust system. Thanks to these measures, the engine performance rises to impressive 690 hp / 507 kW (serial model: 500 hp / 368 kW) and propels the torque to 800 Nm at 4,800 r.p.m. Therefore, the 4WD car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in only 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h (serial model: 278 km/h).</p>
<p>Fully forged 10&#215;22 inch mono block rims in turbine design and wheels measuring 295/30/22 perfectly fit under the extended mudguards. As MANSORY rims are produced in forged technology, they are extremely light and due to the reduced unsprung masses, not only handling and acceleration, but also braking response of the Porsche Cayenne are improved. Further exclusive rim designs from 21 to 23 inches complete the wheel programme.</p>
<p>The MANSORY sports module for controlling the air suspension additionally enhances the XXL sized wheels. If desired, the SUV´s centre of gravity can be lowered by 45 millimetres.</p>

<p>Having created and implemented a new idea of the Porsche Cayenne rebuilding into the stylized dashing off-road coupe TOPCAR has successfully participated with its Porsche Cayenne Advantage and Porsche Cayenne Vantage GTR at the largest and most prestigious car tuning exhibition in Europe &#8211; Essen Motor Show. Due to the great majority of renovated cars it proves that the idea has been appreciated and managed to gain customers’ confidence.</p>
<p>In this connection, it is remarkable that the new Porsche Cayenne is going to be in a great demand and in fact to be a great opportunity to create the new Advantage and Vantage GTR renovated series.</p>
<p>Porsche Cayenne Vantage 2</p>
<p>The Vantage 2 body kit assembly doesn’t require any complementary car base work as the Advantage 2 и Vantage GTR 2 packages. The whole package includes front and rear spoiler bumpers, front and rear fender extenders, a bonnet and side skirts. The Vantage 2 appearance has its own distinctive face containing the wide character strings inherited from the Vantage GTR 2.</p>
<p>The projects are excellent. All car parts will be fully manufactured from the Carbon Kevlar and Carbon fibre.</p>
<p>The body kit parts not only look fantastic but have the added advantage of also being highly firm and extremely lightweight.</p>
<p>All elaboration activities and fitting works are provided in the state-of-the-art tuning manufactory. The perfect quality of TOPCAR’s products is guaranteed and the company has its own production capacities that are needed to achieve success.</p>
<p>To every of these three projects TOPCAR offers new wing mirrors with LED side repeaters.</p>
<p>In order to achieve better performance the new Porsche Cayenne engine will be juiced up and get an output from 550 to 750 hp.</p>
<p>The new forged wheels (R21 and R23) have been especially designed for the new Porsche Cayenne by TOPCAR.</p>

<p>LUMMA Design proves that style and functionality do not have to be mutually exclusive. With its comprehensive range of accessories for the Porsche Cayenne, the car customiser from Winterlingen in Germany not only enhances the appearance of the Zuffenhausen-made SUV but also equips it for everyday use.</p>
<p>The D-Box for the Cayenne Diesel brings both reason and driving pleasure to the table in equal measure. This plug-and-play solution increases the diesel engine&#8217;s performance from 240 to an impressive 276 hp (203 kW) and raises the vehicle&#8217;s maximum torque from 550 to 630 Newton metres. This increased torque allows noticeable savings in fuel consumption to be made because it is precisely at low engine speeds that greater efficiency can be achieved. If required, the D-Box can be completely retrofitted.</p>
<p>In order to also enhance the engine bay&#8217;s aesthetic qualities, LUMMA Design offers an optics engine package consisting of red-coated covers and a crest logo made of metal, with the top-quality materials emphasising the increased power of the diesel engine. In addition, thanks to its headlight covers, the big Porsche now looks determinedly ahead.</p>
<p>The new light alloy wheels from the Winterlingen-based customiser appear similarly sporty  whether it&#8217;s the Mono 10&#215;22-inch sports wheels with silver surface or the two-tone Mono 11&#215;23-inch wheels with powerfully moulded spokes. Not only does the complete wheel set look really racy, it also ensures excellent road holding.</p>
<p>The twin exhaust pipe deflectors made from burnished and chrome-plated stainless steel give the Cayenne Diesel an individual touch while the two 90 millimetre pipes give the vehicle an especially sporty finish.</p>
<p>With that bit of extra agility, the SUV&#8217;s refined interior awaits the driver. Even as you open the doors, the matt aluminium door sill panels featuring the machined LUMMA logo showcase the classic character of the revised Cayenne.</p>
<p>The vehicle&#8217;s best example of the combination of style and functionality is the boot floor mat, with the LUMMA Design crest logo enhancing its appearance and the boot sill protector preventing unattractive scratches. For those who find all this to be a bit too much in the way of functionality, some of the Cayenne models come with the boot floor mat minus the foldable boot sill protector. Recesses for the lashing eyes are provided too, even for the version with the real leather edging.</p>
<p>The set of four LUMMA car floor mats for the interior are also edged with genuine animal skin. The mats&#8217; black finish incorporating the crest logo helps keep the vehicle clean and gives the interior a personal touch. Alternatively, the mats are available with a nubuck edging.</p>
<p>The pedal covers from LUMMA Design manage to combine style with safety. While the machined aluminium highlights the pedals&#8217; sporty nature, the built-in rubber nubs ensure that the driver&#8217;s feet don&#8217;t slip off the pedals. The foot rests made from the same combination of materials serve this purpose, too.</p>
<p>With its comprehensive range of accessories for the Porsche Cayenne, LUMMA Design allows car owners to add the perfect personal touch to their SUV and, in the process, manages to achieve a harmonious combination of functionality and style.</p>

<p>Despite the ever-increasing number of alternative engine technology on the market, it is highly unlikely that tuning companies will find themselves out of a job in the future. Proof of this can be seen in the attractive package from Cargraphic for the new Porsche Cayenne. Besides the “Turbo” (see photos), which will get the same wheels and accessories, the German customisers have especially in mind the S Hybrid version. &#8220;Cars will still be able to sound powerful and sporty in the future&#8221;, believes Cargraphic CEO Thomas Schnarr. The technical brain behind the company refers to the exhaust systems, manufactured in the company&#8217;s own plant in England. The acclaimed tuner expects this to be a real premiere for the company in the year in which it celebrates its 25-year anniversary: the first exhaust system for a hybrid vehicle. Variable suspension lowering, 22-inch, 3-piece wheels type Racing that are &#8220;Made in Germany&#8221; by the company itself and a discreet body kit with rear diffuser complete its harmonious appearance.</p>
<p>This attractive package will also be available for other engine variants, for which Cargraphic also has special exhaust systems in the pipeline. By optimising the flow not only the sound but also the power output benefits. The company has also developed special performance software in conjunction with the renowned experts of Kubatech. Increased driving pleasure is thus guaranteed. Even though combustion engines as single or hybrid drive will undoubtedly remain with us for some decades to come, Cargraphic is already one step ahead with its tuning concept. Thomas Schnarr and his brother Michael, who share management of the company, have already drawn up plans for the first innovative sound concepts for electric cars. <p>Due to CEO Wendelin Wiedeking&#8217;s failed effort to acquire VW, Porsche&#8217;s total 2009 loss came to an astounding €4,400,000,000, or $6,500,000,000.  The number is incredible given that Porsche was the most prosperous car company a year earlier, and that Porsche is still an independent automobile manufacturer.  (Though that will change as VW reverses the situation and takes a large stake in Porsche.)  Looking at the Panamera, we&#8217;re not holding much hope for the once-proud German nameplate&#8211;but we are loving the new Boxster Spyder.</p>

<p>Porsche&#8217;s chief executive officer Wendelin Wiedeking has been fired from the German car company.  Wiedeking&#8217;s departure is met with that of the company&#8217;s chief financial officer, Holge Härter.  The two men were &#8220;immediately&#8221; retired from their posts after months of falling sales and deepening debt.</p>
<p>Wiedeking has been with Porsche for sixteen years and orchestrated the firm&#8217;s expansion into sport-utility vehicles and sedans.  But Wiedeking&#8217;s failed attempt to seize a majority stake in VW left Porsche €9,000,000,000 in debt.  Porsche now may become a subsidiary to Volskwagen after being rejected for a state loan.</p>
<p>Wiedeking will leave with a €50,000,000 severance package.  Härter will receive €12,000,000.  Michael Macht, production director, will take the position as company CEO.  Macht, age forty-eight, has been with Porsche since 1990 and has overseen engineering and logistics.</p>

<p>Porsche execs have killed off rumors of a new sports car in the lineup.  The blogged-of fifth model was to be an entry-level roadster priced below the Boxster&#8211;which made no sense since the Boxster is as base as a Porsche can get, while still being good.  Instead, execs are fully promoting the visual monstrosity known as the Panamera and insisting enthusiasts ignore the unfavorable financial news which will probably kill CEO Wendelin Wiedeking&#8217;s career.</p>
<p>When asked about the decision to not pursue any new sports car development, Porsche USA rep Jan Fuckelbach went into a anti-Semitic tirade, blaming Stuttgart&#8217;s misfortune on &#8220;them Jews&#8221; and calling for the industry&#8217;s purification from &#8220;corrupting elements.&#8221;</p>
<p>Just kidding&#8211;Fuckelback is just some homeless guy we found walking by the Porsche dealership at Figueroa in Downtown.</p>

<p>So it seems Porsche&#8217;s CEO, Wendelin Wiedeking, is furious that people within his company are leaking info about its dire financial situation.  It wasn&#8217;t long ago that Porsche was the most profitable enterprise in the business.  Now that&#8217;s over, and Wiedeking is begging the German treasury to provide billions in emergency cash to save his company from bankruptcy.</p>
<p>All this chaos in just a few months.  What a man.</p>
<p><span id="more-3680"></span></p>
<p>I&#8217;m not going to hide it: I think Wiedeking is the worst auto exec still employed.  This is a guy who took a wealthy and promising concern, and got it screwed harder than Kim Kardashian in the Saints&#8217; locker room.  Plenty of folks want to give Robert Nardelli of Chrysler that title, but Nardelli did nothing more than hurt an already broken company.</p>
<p>I like to point to the Panamera as a symbol of all that&#8217;s wrong with Wiedeking and Porsche&#8217;s whored identity.  What is Porsche today?  A fashion statement.  It&#8217;s a brand Jerry Seinfeld markets.  It&#8217;s a line of apparel.  It&#8217;s an overpriced and overweight Volkswagen SUV.  It&#8217;s a sedan that&#8217;s uglier than Joy Behar at a nude shoot.  The tragic thing is that I&#8217;d rather get into Behar than the sedan.</p>
<p>Some of that is unfair.  The Cayenne was a key reason why Porsche prospered over the past decade, and it <em>is</em> a good SUV&#8211;just not a good Porsche.  Porsche&#8217;s own status has been somewhat wounded since it became a yuppie icon in the 1980s.  I also have to give Porsche Design its dues: those varsity jackets are pretty damn fine.</p>
<p>That is beside the point.  Porsche is billions in debt, it&#8217;s probably going to be annexed by a bigger company, and it&#8217;s set to win the dubious honor of having the ugliest machine on wheels since the Aztek.  I don&#8217;t think even a Cayman Turbo could redeem this once-great marque in the eyes of true enthusiasts.  Frankly, I don&#8217;t care kind of flattering words Jay Leno or Jeremy Clarkson have for Panamera.  (If they do have them, that is.)</p>
<p>There&#8217;s only one rational thing that can be done to help remedy this: Sentence Wiedeking to death by impalement, with no chance for appeal.</p>
<p>We must let reason prevail.</p>
