Maybach To Be Cancelled!!

AutoExpress, a British magazine is reporting that the Maybach is due to be cancelled. Maybach will launch very mildly face lifted of its three model line up. It will be small changes such as a new grille and LED lighting before the brand slips away. Maybach executives have now privately admitted plans to wind down the brand – resurrected in 2002 – due to disappointing sales. The reason for killing the Maybach brand is because of poor sales prior to the economic meltdown and Mercedes plans to take the all new S class to a whole new level when it’s unveiled in 2014. The new S-Class is set to be the most hi-tech Mercedes to date. I personally don’t know why people buy Maybach when it looks like a fixed up S-Class, when you can get a very nice Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Video: Hennessey Venom GT 0-60 in 2.2mph set to debut March 30th

John Hennessey’s Ventom GT will make its debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show March 30th. Power for the Venom GT comes from an upgraded LS9 from the Corvette ZR1 making 750-hp. If that’s not enough for you, Hennessey is also offering a twin-turbocharged LS9 producing 1,000-hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque in street spec and 1,200-hp in full-race spec. Power is sent to the rear-wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.

Weighing in at just 2,395 lbs, the 1,000-hp model goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds with a top speed of 262 mph.
Prices for the Venom GT are expected to start at $600,000 for the base model. The 1,200-hp model will run you $725,000.

Awesome review of the R8 Spyder. I like how he drives it very hard and does some drifts in the rain. Very nice car, I like how the rear window can go down even with the top up.

Video: Audi R8 Driven in Parking Structure

I rarely find myself attracted to convertible’s but the Audi R8 is amazing. Very nice car, would prefer it with the top down vs. the coupe. The dubbing in the video was a bit cheesy.

Video: Driving Footage of Audi RS5 on the Track

Here is an official video from Audi RS5. Awesome video showing off the sound and speed of the all new Audi RS5. The RS5 features a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8 producing 450-horsepower and 332lb ft or 430Nm of torque under the hood, with power transferred to all four wheels through a standard seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission and a center differential in the quattro drivetrain.

That’s enough to propel the 3,803lbs four-seater coupe to 62mph in 4.6 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. The Audi RS5 will be prices around $104,000.
