This is an interesting video, that shows different type of luxury car drivers. This is for a show called Meet The Beckers. I think the BMW driver is hillarious and the lexus driver is dead accurate. This seems like an Audi funded commercial. I mean the other cars are older models of those brands and here is a brand new Audi A4 and the Audi driver seems calm, mature and normal.

My take from the video is:

Audi Driver: Mature,Calm, has a trophy wife,smart

BMW Driver: show off,prick,young,techy,energetic,athletic.

Mercedes: Old man brand,rich successful guy.

Lexus: controlling wife,prepy guy,can’t think for himself,nerdy,perfect family

Lexus has made an attempt at the BMW M3 with the Lexus IS-F. The car is pretty nice but to me does not compete on the M3’s level. I personally think the IS-F should be compared to a 335i. When you think of hybrid you think of a car that is extremely slow and economical. Well times have changed, a new generation of sporty hybrids is in the works and ought to give the segment an image makeover after coming to the market soon. But for the speedy drivers in need of a fast hybrid you don’t have to wait until the sporty hybrids come out: Some models already on sale get better-than-average gas mileage without being slowpokes.

The Lexus LF-A seems like a car that will never make it to the dealership. Spy photographers from KGP have caught another new version of the LF-A near the famed Nurburgring in Germany, this one apparently decked out in full racing gear. The most obvious difference is the giant rear wing in place of the retractable one seen on prior prototypes. It also has what appears to be carbon fiber canards on the outer edges of the front clip, which seems like a hint this isn’t a road car but a track only car. The speculations going around is that Lexus is making two types of LF-A, one for racing on the track(one with wing) and one for the regular streets. I hope this car comes out soon, I really love the way it looks, especially the one without a spoiler. Lexus is definitely entering the performance world. You have the Lexus IS-F, the Lexus LF-A and now the Lexus LF-A roadster. This seems to be a mixture of the SC Lexus model from various years and a bit of the Nissan 350z in it. The roadster is made up of carbon fiber and aluminum, supposedly maintaining a high amount of structural rigidity even without its roof. The Lexus is packing approximately 5.0-liters in its front-mounted V10, sending over 500 hp down to a transmission fitted between towards the back for optimal weight balance.[Source: Auto Blog]

When you think of Mercedes performance you think of AMG, well now Lexus has its performance brand the F, now that the IS-F is out, Lexus has a new goal GS-F and its main competitor BMW M5. BMW is not worried and i don't think they should be, the IS-F already is getting bad reviews, with 0-60 of 4.6 and 416 hp while the M3 has 414 hp and 0-60 in 4.4. The GS-F will be getting a V10 with around 450 hp which is already no match for the might 500 hp v10 M5. Due to be released in 2011.[Source Auto Blog and Hollywood Extra]
