The Ferrari GTO’s Third Coming
If you exclude Vandenbrink Design’s go-nowhere concept, this’d be the third coming of Ferrari’s venerable GTO nameplate.
Without resorting to Wikipedia for background info, the GTOs were race-homologated berlinetta coupes. The first, the 250 GTO, had a brief, but exceptional, run in the early 1960s. It is the most valuable automobile in the world, according to auction estimates. The moniker was revived twenty years later with the 288 GTO, which appeared like a 308 GTB with a mean bodykit.
Lo and behold, Ferrari is going back to the past and bringing back the original “Goat.” The new GTO is said to be a souped-up play off the 599 GTB. An Enzo-based 6.0 L V-12 will be re-tuned to deliver upwards of 700 hp. That’ll come to an estimated price tag between $600,000 and $700,000. 60 should be hit in 3.2 sec., and top speed is said to be north of 210 mph, if that helps.
Jalopnik Gives Us Its Favorite Vehicles of the Millennium (So Far)

We’re pretty fond of the Jalopnik gang–partly for their insults against The Truth About Cars, and partly for their grassroots fondness for automotive and aeronautical performance. Joining a common trend this is their “Best10″ (a play on Car and Driver’s “10Best”) cars of the decade.
Here’s the list with the watered-down specs:

World’s First Ferrari Theme Park In Abu Dhabi
Here are some of the very first photos of the World’s First Ferrari theme park in Abu Dhabi. Set to be the world’s largest indoor theme park and the first ever Ferrari theme park in the world when it opens in 2010, it comes complete with a racetrack that will host the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It also includes shops, hotels, various attractions, rides and pretty much anything a Ferrari enthusiast would love. Of course when you think of Ferrari you think of speed which is why it will have the world’s fastest roller coaster travelling at speeds in excess of 200 km/h (124 mph), it is said to emulate the feeling of being in a Ferrari F1 car as the passengers go over 62 m through the roof and back down again. The question now is where will the Lamborghini theme park be? Read more
Video: 100 Ferraris Drive in Dubai
I get excited when I see one Ferrari but imagine 100! The 100 Ferraris drove a trail across the United Arab Emirates over the weekend. They started out from Dubai and ended their journey in Abu Dhabi where they pulled up to the Yas Marina Circuit where they watched free practice sessions for the first Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

No, this isn’t a documentary about me.
Here’s a brief clip I stole from the mauled remains of Leftlane writer Drew Johnson. While I didn’t really need to run him over with that used Hummer, I wanted to for no other reason than to gloat about it later to friends and police.
In all seriousness, the video is a Ferrari trailer covering the development of the flagship 458 Italia sports car. The 458 will replace the long-running 360/430 series that has been Maranello’s spearhead since the late ’90s. I’ll have an in-depth look at the 458 sometime later on.
Video: Ferrari 575 Vs. BMW M6 Vs. Audi RS6
Thanks to our friends at BMWblog.com for this awesome video. The BMW M6 has a V10 5.0 Liter which produces 500hp but the one in this video is modded to 630hp. The Ferrari is stock with a V12 engine producing 515hp. The Audi RS6 has a twin-turbo 5.2 Liter V10 engine producing 580hp stock, but the owner decided to mod it and now has 720hp. Enjoy!
