Finally, the 2009 Audi RS6 was unveiled! Its back bigger than ever. It features the 5.0 liter V10 engine, the new sports sedan from Audi is a direct target to the 500hp V10 from BMW. Capable to develop an astonishing 580 hp and 480 ft lbs of torque, the engine catapults the car from 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited at 155 mph or, at customer’s request to 174. The new Audi RS6 also has to be comfortable at speed, and to help accomplish this, the front axle features four lightweight aluminum control arms per wheel. The new model from Audi will be launched in mid-October and will be available for about $157,000, which I find to be way over priced.

This is a really cool comparison test. They take these super cars and give some tests and find out which is the best car overall. I like all three but I would take the Audi R8 over all of them. Once the Audi R8 V10 comes out, then it’ll blow the other cars out of competition. I mean come on look at those headlights, this has to be the sexiest car. What would you take?

Audi today announced the pricing for the 2009 Audi A4 sedan and 2009 Audi A4 Avant. The A4 sedan will carry a starting price tag of $32,700 while the A4 Avant will start at $34,500. Both models will be available for test drivers at local dealerships starting August 10th.

The base 2009 Audi A4 Sedan comes equipped with a 2.0 TFSI 4-cylinder with a range-topper 3.2 FSI V6 producing 265 horsepower with a 0-62 times of 6.2 seconds. The 3.2 FSI comes with the quattro All wheel drive system and a 6-speed Tiptronic transmission. The A4 Avant will be equipped with the 2.0 TFSI engine and the quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Deliveries begin in September 2008.

This is a very interesting concept. Audi has spent the past two years developing its Travolution project, which has recently ended test trials on the streets of Audi’s home town, Ingolstadt, Germany.The project with an investment of about $2 million is designed to optimize the flow of traffic through networked communications between traffic lights and cars, resulting in less stopping times – and thus idling, braking and downshifting which affects fuel efficiency.

Audi made an Audi A5 and an A6 Avant available as test vehicles for the project. Traffic lights equipped with communications modules sent the time for the next green-light phase to the car’s on-board computer. The drivers of these cars were informed through the Audi MMI infotainment system at what speed they should travel in order to drive through the intersection without having to stop.

With the successful completion of the test trials, Travolution is to be expanded by another 20 cars and 50 traffic light installations. In addition, up-to-the-minute traffic information for the city will keep drivers better informed.

Awesome video showing the Z06 vs the Audi R8. I know the Z06 is really damn fast but I thought the Audi R8 would keep up a lot better. What will be a great race is the upcoming R8 V10. Enjoy!

Audi has one answer to the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLK and that is the all new Audi Q5. Audi released this new video from the studio showing all the fine details. Audi offers a choice of three engines for its launch starting with the new re-engineering 2.0-liter TFSI producing 211hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Diesel options include the 170hp 2.0-liter TDI and the range topping 3.0-liter V6 TDI unit pumping out 240hp. The engine range will no doubt be extended in the coming years. So which is the best to you?
