The newest 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet is finally here. Needless to say it looks awesome inside and out. The car brings passengers Wi-Fi connectivity and a lot more high tech features.
With the debut of the 2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the company’s lineup is about to expand again. Right, an A3 Cabriolet has been offered in Europe offered since 2008, but the new model introduces some features and technology formerly the exclusive domain of higher-end models.
Inside the new A3, you will find a range of option packages including various degrees of active safety and infotainment systems. Customers can also get a built-in 4G LTE connection for internet connectivity for some extra money. In that case, navigation system gets access to Google maps and other various online services and provides passengers with a useful dedicated Wi-Fi hot spot.
While being larger overall than the vehicle it replaces, the new A3 Cabriolet has lost more than 110 pounds in the redesign process thanks to the greater use of lightweight aluminum in its main structure and suspension elements. It’s also got stiffness and structural rigidity, which coupled with its electronic stability control and electronic limited-slip differential promise to endow even the base model with excellent handling characteristics. Audi also will offer the car with various standard/optional dynamic enhancements including its drive select vehicle dynamics system, Audi magnetic ride adaptive suspension, adaptive cruise control, adaptive-feel/progressive-ratio power steering and a lowered sport suspension.
The A3 Cabriolet will be built in Audi’s Gyor (the plant in Hungary), and will be available for order in Germany in fall 2013, with sales starting in the first quarter of 2014. Speaking about the U.S., it’s not clear whether we’ll ever see the A3 Cabriolet in this market. But who knows…
