Tata Safari Storme happens to be a latest incarnation in the flagship line-up of Safari model, which has been present in the country for over a decade. It was showcased at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo, wherein the model was able to pull the masses across its stand. Safari Storme was offered to the domestic audience somewhere in October 2012, and since then, it has gathered an overwhelming response from the buyers in the Indian auto market.

Initially, the model was introduced on the Indian turf back in 1998 and came up as a byword for a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), since none of its close competitor was present in the country at that time. From then, Tata Safari Storme has received a number of facelifts and upgrades, which enabled it to leave behind the competition by great miles. However, in recent times, the model has witnessed a stiff competition from other segment defining models like Mahindra XUV500, Toyota Innova and Mahindra Scorpio, among others.

Tata Motors has offered four trims of its iconic model, namely Lx 9 (4×2), Ex (4×2), Vx (4×2) and Vx (4×4). Coming to under-the-hood specifications of the model, Tata Motors has packed all these variants with a same 2.2 litre VariCOR diesel engine, which belts out a peak power of 138 bhp at 4000 rpm with a highest torque of 320 Nm at fairly low 1700-2700 rpm. The previous generation model was equipped with a DiCOR engine, which has been provided with few upgrades, keeping size of the engine same in the new model. The new VariCOR engine of Safari Storme features Variable Turbine Technology, which results to a more refined drive and enhances the engine‚Äôs performance.

Reportedly, the Tata Safari Storme has been designed on the platform of Aria crossover, which has made it a better model and an inspiration in its segment. Initially, Safari was introduced over a decade ago and has grabbed much attention by the domestic audience. Since its launch in the Indian auto market, the Tata Safari was known as a symbol of masculinity. However, over a course of time, the model has witnessed several changes and modifications to remain parallel with the demands of Indian buyers and changing trends of the market.

Interestingly, the Tata Safari Storme review has been conducted several times and the model has proved its mettle in the Indian auto sector over the period of time. As per industry experts, Safari Storme demands a low maintenance cost and delivers impressive fuel efficiency.
