Ford Fiesta a Smash Hit

Ford Motor Co. has sold more than a half million Fiestas since introducing it in Europe a year ago as it prepares to sell the tiny global car in the United States next summer.

The Fiesta is the second-biggest selling car in Europe and tops in the small-car segment.

Following its European introduction, the Fiesta was launched in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and China.

The Fiesta will make its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in December.
