Cadillac Converj is Go
From Detroit Free Press:
General Motors appears to be moving forward with the Cadillac Converj, the electric-drive car shown as a concept vehicle during the Detroit auto show last January.
The GM board of directors green-lighted production of the vehicle last week, the Free Press was told.
A Cadillac spokesman declined to comment.
The Converj uses the same extended-range technology developed for the Chevrolet Volt, which is slated to begin production late next year.
It’s unclear when the new Cadillac could hit the road. Motor Trend last spring suggested it could be in 2011.
