Eager Anticipation Over Ford’s Raptor Pickup

Even though the truck market has diminished (and is likely to continue to), Ford’s F-150 Raptor sport pickup is having no problem attracting buyers.  Fifteen hundred preorders have already been made, pushing Raptor production into high-gear to keep up with the demand.  The Raptor has a base price of $39,000 and includes a 5.4 L V-8 making 310 hp and a healthy 365 ft.-lbs. of torque.  Ford will release a 6.2 L version later in the year, said to produce 400 hp.
