Supercar Maker Seeks to Make Saab Swedish Again

Word floating around the online rumor mill is that carmaker Koenigsegg is the top-bidder so far for Saab.  The Saab firm is still under GM ownership, but the ailing auto giant has been searching for a willing buyer for more than a year.  The Saab brand has never been able to catch on in North America, in spite of a “Born from Jets” ad campaign and the dubious honor of being the “gayest” car brand in America.

GM tried to inject some life into Saab with the likes of the 9-3 Turbo-X sedan and Aero-X concept; yet neither produced results on the long end.  Koenigsegg’s acquisition would not only make Saab a Swede brand once more, it would also mean the chance for a sportier product line more in-step with the likes of Audi and BMW.  Koenigsegg currently builds the CCX, a supercar which reps claim can outperform the Bugatti Veyron–though this has not been verified.

Maybe that Aero-X will become a reality.free how to lose friends alienate people
