NEW 2010 Ford Mustang LEAKED-63 PICTURES

The 2010 Ford Mustang was supposed to be released Tuesday but Ford seemed to semi-release it a bit early.  The Mustang’s exterior looks a lot different and it seems to be a blend of the 05-09 Mustang generation as well as the generation before that. Some noticeable differences are the new wheels,LED tail lamps, fog lamps. Inside, the car has a reverse camera and the Ford Sync(which I heard is great). newmustang5.jpgA lot of people always tell me that the mustang is a chick car, well this one looks a lot more aggressive and is clearly a modern day “Muscle Car”. Underneath the skin, Ford’s engineers have retuned the 2009 Mustang’s suspension and reworked the GT’s 4.6-liter V8 engine which benefits from the changes first seen on the Bullitt delivering 315HP and 325 lb-ft of torque. For the 2010 model, the entry-level 4.0-liter V6 engine remains unchanged producing a pathetic -for a 21st century car- 210HP and 240 lb-ft of torque.

“We adjusted the springs, stabilizer bars and shocks to better balance the ride, steering and handling for all models, which results in a more engaging driving experience,” adds Mustang Vehicle Engineering manager Tom Barnes. “The 2010 Mustangs feel more controlled for steering and handling, yet retain a good ride balance.”
Thankfully, the old school antenna has been finally cut. Also, Ford claims that it has newmustang34.jpgreplaced the cheap and hard plastics of the current generation model with upgraded, soft touch materials, which from the pictures seems to be true. The new ‘Stang is expected to go on sale in the U.S. in early 2009 where it will be available in three body styles, coupe, convertible and with a glass roof option. The only question is how will it compete with the all new Chevy Camaro, which has been its competitor since the 60’s?

[Video]2009 Dodge Challenger SRT10 Concept in action

The 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT10 concept was a big highlight at the 2008 SEMA show. Power for the Challenger SRT10 Concept comes from the Dodge Viper 8.4L V10 engine that produces 600-hp with a maximum torque 560 lb-ft. All that power is transferred to the wheels through a Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission with Dodge Viper gear ratios. Chrysler is not certain if the car will go in production, but lets sure hope it does.
