2010 BMW 5-Series Spied
BMW is preparing the next-generation of its 5-Series for launch in 2010 — 2009 for the European market and Motor Authority managed to get some spy photos. When the new 5-Series finally arrives — likely in 2010 — it will be available with the same 400hp twin-turbo V8 found in the X6, which would put it close to the current BMW M5. It’s also rumored the 6cylinder version of the 5 series will keep the twin turbo 6cylinder engine used in the 535i model. The next-generation 5-series is expected to feature an eight-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drive option being available. Also notice the quad-exhaust which really shows this 5 series means business and will most likely have current M5 performance speeds.
2009 Corvette ZR1 Pricing and Performance Numbers
The official Corvette ZR1 numbers are in and they’re good. Very good:
- $103,300 MSRP (including $850 destination charge)
- EPA-estimated fuel economy of 14 city and 20 highway
- 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds
- 0-100 mph in 7.0 seconds
- Quarter-mile elapsed time of 11.3 seconds at 131 mph
The Corvette ZR1 also has a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h), making it the fastest Corvette ever produced and ranking it among the global super cars of commensurate performance.

Spy Shots: 2010 Audi TT-RS
This new car is supposed to be the fastest Audi TT ever built. The new car is the performance RS variant of the TT and it’s expected to be launched in both coupe and roadster forms at the end of this year. Sources indicate power could come from a 2.5L turbocharged five-cylinder with output closer to 365 horsepower. Sales of the Audi TT-RS are expected to begin sometime in 2009. Jay Leno uploaded this video on his website “Jay Leno’s Garage”. Jay Leno loves the car and so do I. I also like his 1970 challenger. This car is a scary looking beast in black and I love how it roars. He says the handling is superb and would put it up there with the Germans. Renntech Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series
A stock Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series is a powerful machine only one dreams about. The car is perfect, but Renntech feels it needed some changes. The car stock produces 507hp with a loud V8. The guys at Renntech managed to add more hp to a total of 550. To achieve the bump in performance, engineers added a recalibrated ECU, long-tube headers and a high-flow exhaust system. The car will now accelerate from 0-62mph (100km/h) in less than four seconds and reach a top speed in excess of 186mph (300km/h). Renntech also changed a lot of parts to carbon fiber. Official Pre-Production Camaro Convertible Pictures Released
The Camaro convertible pictures have been released and I’m impressed. I love the way the car looks and would definitely take a convertible Camaro vs the coupe. Usually I don’t like convertibles but I like the way it looks with top down and with top up. This will be a nice car to cruise around California in the summer. The car will be available most likely late 2009 and better pictures will be available soon, these pictures were taking by Ed Peper, North America Vice President, Chevrolet posted them on GM’s Fastlane Blog.
