BMW’s next generation 6-series coupe and cabrio won’t be available until late 2010, however we can get a pretty accurate look at how it will look thanks to these renderings. The new design is expected to grow in size and feature a sportier design and also sit lower than the current out going model. There are rumors the car will be offered with two different versions, a more luxurious GT and an aggressive sports model. The engine is unfortunately supposed to carry over untouched, but the new M6 will get a twin turbo V-10 and dual clutch transmission.[Source:Motor Authority]

I like the way it looks in these pictures, but it’s almost certain that it will not look anything like this when the final design is released. These artist’s renderings always make me laugh as they are always a dash of the current model mixed in with the latest concept car from the manufacturer…..sometimes they also add a bit of the latest production model from the manufacturer and photoshop it all together. In this case it is clearly a Photoshop of the current 6 series and the Concept CS.
I am sure that the 4.4 twin-turbo V8 from the X6 will find it’s way to the 5 and 6 series as well, maybe even on the current models.
Well, I dunno. The Z9 concept car and drawings were pretty similar to the production 645Ci. I wish they’d hurry up and deliver the new 6 [and they can leave the 4 door idea wherever they found it].
